Debra Gorman Cagle loves teaching Montessori! I have been a Montessori 3-6 teacher for over 30 years, working in a primary environment, establishing an extended day kindergarten program and teaching in a four-year old afternoon class. I have also spent a few years as administrative assistant to the Montessori administrators of Montessori Children’s House and of a Montessori teacher training program in Boston, and directed and taught summer Montessori programs. I teach Everyday Living/Practical Life, Mathematics and Classroom Leadership in two Montesori teacher training programs, the Adrian Dominican Montessori Teacher Education Institute and the Montessori Teacher Academy of Indiana University South Bend. I also teach education and first year experience classes at my alma mater, Siena Heights University. I have had magazine articles published regarding Montessori and/or food for children. I co-founded and am co-owner of the Montessori4Life Materials Company, discovering fun and innovative food preparation materials and designing food preparation kits. But my best, most joyful and life-giving role is that of wife and mother to two former and forever Montessori students.
